Why hand painted?

Custom: This specialty painting takes regular wall painting up a notch and can elevate a room in a matter of hours. The best part about this is that we can discuss what you’re looking for and come up with something that will fit your vision and be perfect for your space. It’s completely custom! For those weary of bold design, it can also be very subtle and still make a statement.

Easily Changed: Another benefit is for when you want to change the room someday, it’s easy! You just paint over the wall. No dealing with removing adhesive or wall repair (sometimes even removable wallpaper can leave adhesive or takes part of the wall with it).

Affordability: Not only is this totally custom and easily changed, it’s usually more affordable than wallpaper too! Pricing depends on the complexity of the design you choose and how many colors are in it. Most accent walls or a powder room can be completed in a day (8-10 hours). I never rush myself and your satisfaction is my top priority.


Pricing

An accent wall or small powder room starts at $500-$800 depending on the complexity of the design and number of colors used. Quotes are free and all inclusive (supplies, possible travel time, and painting). Just click on the link to set one up.


The Process

Please click on ‘Request a Quote’ at the top of the page and fill out as much of the information as possible. There is a place to upload any photos that you may have of your ideas (search Pinterest, wallpaper websites, etc.) or maybe it’s something that I’ve already done- make sure to check out my Facebook page for before and after photos. If you know the size of the wall or room, a photo of the space would be great too. The more information I have prior to our meeting the better but if you don’t have much, don’t worry. I will usually get back to you within 24 hours and I try to schedule quotes for Fridays.

I am willing to travel up to 30 miles from my home. Should your location be beyond that, there may be a charge for travel.

After we meet I will send you a quote via email within 48 hours. Quotes are all inclusive. I don’t like surprises when it come to work being done on my home and I’m sure that you don’t either. I will give you a price and that includes the supplies, travel time if applicable, and the painting itself. Should you make the decision to proceed there is a required deposit of 25%. Once the deposit is made I will get you on the schedule, yay! Jobs are usually scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays but I am willing to work with you if those days don’t work with your schedule.

On painting day please make sure there are 3 feet of clearance from the wall for my drop cloths and ladder/scaffolding. Have all outlet covers/switch plates/vents removed before I arrive. I will need access to a sink so let me know which one you prefer that I use. I will need to fill a water container, maybe rinse a brush or two but I generally take everything home to clean it. Taking excellent care of your space is a top priority.

The remaining balance is due upon completion.


Wall Prep

I only do the decorative part of the painting but the base is just as important. This means that the wall needs to already be painted the base color (whether it be the current color or a new one) before I arrive. If it’s fresh paint it must be 100% dry. If it’s the existing paint it must be clean, not peeling or flaking, and not high gloss. I can not guarantee adhesion if any of these things are present. I do guarantee the integrity of the products that I use.


Cancellation Policy

There is a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel beyond 72 hours, I will hopefully have time to fill your spot so that I don’t lose a day of work. We can then reschedule you for the next available date that works for both of us. Should you cancel within 72 hours, your deposit will be forfeited. I will be happy to put you back on the schedule with a new deposit.
